Default Equipment
Set one truck and one trailer as your defaults. They auto-fill when you create new loads.
Setting a Default
- Open the equipment detail screen
- Tap the ⭐ star icon
- The star fills in — this is now your default
How Defaults Work
- One default truck and one default trailer per account
- When you create a new load, defaults pre-fill the equipment fields
- You can always change the selection on any individual load
- Setting a new default automatically clears the old one
Why use defaults? If you drive the same truck every day, setting it as default saves a tap on every load. If you swap trucks, just change the default.
Active vs. Inactive
Track equipment status without losing history.
Active
Equipment currently in service. Shows with a green badge on the list.
Inactive
Equipment that’s sold, out of service, or no longer in use. Shows with a red badge.
Why Not Just Delete?
Marking equipment inactive preserves:
- Historical load associations
- Maintenance records
- Reporting accuracy
Equipment appears in both states on the list — you can see your full fleet history.
Maintenance Records
Track service history for each piece of equipment.
Adding a Maintenance Record
- Open the equipment detail screen
- Scroll to Maintenance History
- Tap Add Maintenance
- Enter service details
Maintenance Fields
| Field | Required | Description |

Track parts used in maintenance for records and reordering.
Adding Parts to Maintenance

How It Connects
Equipment → Loads
Select equipment on each load. Defaults auto-fill for faster entry.
Equipment → Maintenance → Parts
Each equipment item has its own maintenance history. Each maintenance record can track parts used.
Equipment → Reports
Equipment selection on loads allows for future fleet-level reporting and analysis.
Tips
- Set defaults for your daily drivers — Saves time on every load
- Use nicknames — “Blue Pete” is easier to spot than “2019 Peterbilt 579”
- Log maintenance as it happens — Your future self (or buyer) will thank you
- Track parts — Makes reordering easy when you see what you’ve used
- Mark sold equipment inactive — Don’t delete it; you’ll lose history
